Testimonials

I was part of the creative team that supports marketing and communications initiatives through design and development of marketing materials.

I love that CVC encourages growth and professional development. It’s a huge priority to stay up to date with industry standards and trends which is imperative in the creative field. I was able to develop my skills through webinars, events and my maintaining my professional membership with the support of my supervisor and manager. I feel that my contributions at CVC were meaningful and working for an organization that invests in my career and challenges me to do better allowed me to work towards my full potential.

Rosanna, Web and Graphic Coordinator (Acting)

For the past 5 years, I have been fortunate enough to be a part of this wonderful organization. Working for a conservation authority is anything but routine! Just like the natural world we work hard to conserve, I am constantly changing and adapting to ensure that park visitors have memorable experiences.

I love having a great team of colleagues who work hard to ensure our visitors stay safe, have fun, and learn to appreciate the natural spaces here in the Credit River Watershed. Events and programs bring people together; it takes a variety of vendors, entertainers, suppliers and service providers who help us create unique experiences in nature.

Julia, Program Assistant, Special Events

I have been working at Credit Valley Conservation for 3 years and it has been the most rewarding experience I have ever had. CVC is a positive work environment and I can honestly say, I look forward to coming into work every day. My position is Receptionist at our Head Office and a few of my duties include directing calls, dealing with public inquires for conservation areas, property inquiries from landowners, town & city planning departments along with administrative functions.

The staff are kind, knowledgeable and everyone works together. There is always a learning opportunity and information is shared company wide. Our mandate at CVC is to ensure Ontario’s water, land and natural habitats are conserved, restored and responsibly managed through watershed-based programs and I am proud to be a part of this wonderful organization.

Cindy, Receptionist

What I do: I manage a team of ecologists on projects and programs that provide fundamental data and management advice on natural areas in the watershed – what sensitive or significant species are found in our natural areas; how healthy our watershed’s forests, wetlands, streams, and groundwater resources are, and how we can maintain or improve their health; and what areas should be protected on the landscape to ensure long term benefits to residents.

Why I love working at CVC: CVC supports strong science-based decision making and I greatly appreciate that our data collection and knowledge sharing has been supported and encouraged over the 10 years I’ve been here. I enjoy interacting with my highly dedicated and passionate colleagues and can always count on their thoughtful and varied perspectives to strengthen our work! The organization supports diversity, flexibility and a good work-life balance and that has contributed to our happy and productive team. Last but very importantly – the office is near a beautiful natural area so it’s great to be able to have walking meetings along the river we work for!

Aviva, Senior Manager, Ecology and Monitoring

Working at CVC allows me to apply my scientific training to problems and projects that make a direct impact helping to protect and restore biodiversity. On top of that, the culture of work-life balance at CVC is hard to beat. I love doing lunch time yoga in the boardroom, having the flexibility to work from home, and taking part in the compressed work week program.

Laura, Senior Specialist, Natural Heritage Management

I have been at CVC since 2001 and I have seen this organization grow and through all that it has always maintained a family feel. The atmosphere, culture and people are amazing and welcoming. This truly is a great place to work and grow your career.
